Coaching, mentoring and driving a team of equally hungry sales professional towards success.At PA Media we provide 24/7 news to major news outlets and as the UK's national news agency, we have a great offering for our clients.We are now looking for a Commercial Director to lead on setting and delivering revenue budgets, as well as leading our sales team to further success.What you'll be doingAs a Commercial Director your main responsibilities will be:Client Relationships
• Negotiating high value contracts with our Tier 1 & 2 customers, whilst working with the Account Managers to ensure all customers are receiving suitable forms of Account Management and communication via Marketing• Leading on the role out of Quarterly Business Reviews with our Tier 1 & 2 customers and those selected customers. Working with the Head of Analytics & Insights, Editor-In-Chief and Head of Production to ensure we are providing customers with significant insight and intel on how they are utilising PA's content, whilst also obtaining feedback on customers' business strategies and future plansRevenue Generation
• Owning the budget and sales targets• Collaborating with key stakeholders and the Executive team to produce a new business sales strategy, particularly focusing on the Non-Traditional market and how PA can better infiltrate new markets• Working closely with the Head of Analytics & Insights to identify trends and opportunities in the new business market and then working with Product & Editorial to ensure our services can meet the requirements of these new sectors and industriesCommunication
• Weekly reporting to the Exec, ensuring we are providing accurate visibility on the team's sales and account management activity• Internal stakeholder management - ensuring that there are regular updates internally, particularly in relation to the sales strategy, new business wins, contract churn and general pipeline updatesLeadership
• People leadership of a sales team of circa 9• Working with direct reports in setting performance objectives and targets for the teamWho you'll be
