Are you looking for your next Head of HR position which provides a wide range of projects and a strategic input to the direction of the organisation?

Head of HR - Hybrid Position working from home c.2/3 days a week - Offices based in Central Oxford

Reed HR are partnering with a highly respected academic institution based in Oxford, as they seek a Head of HR, to lead their HR function as they go through a period of organisational change. The Head of HR will lead the HR offering, providing strategic direction to the organisation, advising and managing a merger, aligning policy and procedure, and ensuring a positive and collaborative culture is embedded throughout the business.

As the Head of HR, you will report the the Head of Administration, and will have five direct reports. This is a wide ranging varied role, which will lead on the provision of people related support, strategic project work, developing policy and procedure, planning and governance, and will oversee the administrative support for communications and engagement.

The Head of HR will be a vibrant, energetic and innovative HR leader, who will be accountable for the delivery of the HR offering throughout the organisation. You will be a credible individual, with sound judgement and the capacity to deal with sometime challenging situations, with tact, discretion and integrity.

Applicants will have significant HR experience within a managerial position, experience of leading a HR support function, and proven experience of managing change, engaging positively with senior leaders and staff groups. It is expected that suitable candidates will have the CIPD Level qualification, or significant relevant HR leadership experience.

If you have experience of working within higher education or public sector organisations, this would be highly desirable.

This position is offered on a hybrid basis, with c.2/3 days worked in the office and at home, depending on the needs of the team/organisation.
