About the team

The Payments Professional Services team at FIS is looking to add an energetic, talented, and experienced Program Manager our growing team. Payments Software Professional Service Group is responsible for customizing and implementing cloud-based payments products for our fortune 500 clients in North America. We provide technical, functional and delivery expertise to enable our clients with latest cutting-edge payments solution.

Payments PS is a fast-growing PS group within FIS and is looking for next generation of practice leaders to take it forward. It is a high pace high rewards group with excellent benefits and lots of opportunity to grow.

What you will be doing

Advanced professional role, highly skilled with extensive proficiency. Generally, you will be responsible for independently managing multiple programs portfolio e.g., approximately 10,000+ project hours with a budget of $1M - $5M, and a project duration of 6 to 12 months of high risk, high complexity, and high client and/or FIS visibility.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and working with other project managers to deliver the program. You will be providing client and executive level status updates and timely escalations to keep the client engagement on track.

Knowledge of the industry project management best practices, e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles,

Advanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects, e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools, such as project repository, including risk, issues and action items database, Metrics and Control and Planview

Demonstrated skill in managing project risks, budgets and timelines, use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement among different stakeholders when there are widely differing viewpoints

Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members and maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature

Ability to strategize and prioritize for revenue and delivery

Ability to get different teams/partners together to one outcome

Ability to work with senior executives to resolve issues proactively.

What you bring

10+ years of Program Management experience.

Knowledge of financial services industry and company's products and services.

Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to interact effectively with executive level clients.

Experience in both Waterfall & Agile methodologies (Scrum) project management.
