Reliability Engineer

The reliability engineer will interface with Operations for incident escalation. This includes creating and following runbooks, monitoring & alerting, and minor DevOps support for the Content Engineering team.

Main Responsibilities

- Work with regional Ops teams to monitor the health of the TV Plus ecosystem.

- Act as an incident manager in the event of an escalation.

- Day-to-day work includes development, infrastructure as code, and root cause analysis.

- Work with senior reliability engineers to implement custom tooling.

Job Experience and Knowledge

- Experience with AWS or Azure

- Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:

n HLS, Dash, and FFMPEG

n H.264, H.265 and other encoding profiles

n DRM - Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay


n Kubernetes, Terraform, Go, Node.js, Python is a plus

- BS in a STEM field is a plus

- Ability to solve problems in a fast paced and dynamic environment with focus on maintaining high quality and standards.

- Able to communicate in writing or orally complex technical matters to an audience of equal or higher level technical competency.

- Ability to debug unfamiliar problems - root cause analysis


- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

- Ability to work effectively with partners in different cultures and geographies

- Positive attitude, highly flexible, and self-motivated

- Develops professional expertise by complying with company policies and procedures

- Exceptional communication skills in multi-cultural environment

- Flexibility to travel to meet with partners and internal customers

- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

- Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
